Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Guido Dowsley is a photographer and a Social Scientist graduated from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Currently he is a researcher on the project Transatlantic Constellations: Cultural Connections between Boca do Mato-RJ community and Island of Mozambique - MZ, member of the African History Studies Group of PUC-Rio and member of the collective Negres Fotógrafes.
